Jammu Development Authority was created in 1970, under the J K Development Act No. XIX of 1970. It was transferred as a resource all the vacant Nazool land located within 13 km radius of the Jammu city. With this land bank and a handful of human resource, JDA started its odyssey to manage the land, develop it to create better infrastructure and in the process catering to the needs and demands of the fast expanding Jammu urban area. Over the years it succeeded in creating significant infrastructure, commercial and office complexes, residential colonies, parks and green belts beautiful rotaries with statues and institutions of art. A new Act, -Jammu and Kashmir Development Amendment Act, 2012 Act No. XII of 2012 was passed by Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature, as the assent received from the Governor on 25th April, 2012. Read more >>>> [2.69 MB]
